No Debating Receipts

Opinions fill the space where evidence is missing ... measurable data ends the argument.

Most SEO debates are not really debates. They are two people guessing in the absence of data, dressed up as expertise. That is fine ... ambiguity invites opinion, and opinion is cheap to produce. The problem is when people keep arguing after the ambiguity is gone.

Once there is a receipt ... a ranking change tied to a specific action, a GSC export showing the before and after, a controlled test with a clean variable ... the conversation changes. It is not a debate anymore. It is a finding. People can still disagree with the interpretation, but they cannot disagree with the number.

'Does X move rankings' arguments run in circles forever on forums. Pull the same domain's Search Console data before and after the change, isolate the variable, and show the delta. The thread usually goes quiet, not because everyone agrees, but because there is nothing left to argue about.

This cuts both ways. If someone shows me a receipt that contradicts what I believed, the belief loses. That is the deal. Receipts are not a weapon for winning arguments, they are the thing that ends arguments that should not have been arguments in the first place.
